Creatività per un francobollo
The Historical Museum of Communication (Museo Storico della Comunicazione) and the Italian Philatelic Press Union (Unione stampa filatelica italiana, USFI) have sponsored a book with 1,700 designs, most of which have never been published.
From the archives of the Historical Museum of Communication in Rome, which belongs to the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT), a treasure of around 1,700 designs for stamps, which have never been produced and never arrived at the post office counters, has now been released. These findings have only partially been published in any specialist article. They have been collected in the book “Creatività per un francobollo – I bozzetti del Museo storico della comunicazione”, organised in 354 pages of A4 format with colour images. The book has been published by Prodigi Edizioni and is priced at 40.00 euros.
The presentation will take place in MIMIT, Rome, on Tuesday, 28 November (see illustration).
