Exhibits at the Museum Bauernhof
The exhibit “Postal History of Milan 1393-1848” has been on display at the Museum Bauernhof since October 2025, making it accessible to the public for the first time. The exhibition is complemented by exhibits on the postal history of Bergamo, Brescia, and Venice, as well as the permanent exhibition “Telegraphs Switzerland”. The museum has announced the following exhibition schedule for 2026:
- Until April 4, 2026: Postal History of Milan 1393-1848, Bergamo, Brescia, and Venice -1848
- April 8 – June 20: Postal History of the Canton of Uri
- June 24 – October 3: Postal History of Milan 1393-1848, Bergamo, Brescia, and Venice -1848
- October 7 – December 19: Postal History of the Canton of Schwyz, Lake Lucerne Ship Post, Swiss Railway Post
The Museum Bauernhof in Goldau is a 5-minute walk from the Arth-Goldau train station and is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The museum features a cozy restaurant, offering daily lunch specials and a varied menu. Further information is available at kimmelstiftung.ch
