A ‘Navigation’ collection from Crete visits the Ljubljana Post Office
The Slovenian Philatelic Association has notified us that, from 5 to 28 February, an exhibition titled Navigation will take place in the lobby of Post Office 1101, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The exhibit is part of the Maritime Museum of Crete’s permanent philatelic collection, Navigation, which is displayed in the central hall of the museum and at the MORO shipyard area—a permanent exhibition of ancient and traditional shipbuilding in Chania, Crete. It has been newly curated specifically for presentation in Ljubljana. It consists of commemorative stamps from around the world dating from 1930 to 2020, along with booklets, maximum cards, etc., all displayed on 200 A4 sheets.
The Philatelic Association of Slovenia (FZS) will prepare a commemorative cover for the exhibition, a special postmark, and postcards on this theme, while museum representatives from Crete will also bring related philatelic items.
