ANKARA ’23 International Stamp Exhibition, 27-30 October
The Turkish Philatelic Federation is organising the International Stamp Exhibition Ankara’23, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Republic of Turkey. The Turkish Postal Administration is the main sponsor of the event. Ankara’23 will be held at Ulucanlar Prison Museum & Cultural Centre, in Ankara, under FEPA Recognition.
The national part of the Exhibition is expected to cover 500 frames, between 20 and 30 October 2023. During the last four days, 27-30 October, another 250-300 frames will be added for international participation. The international part of the exhibition will include the countries that separated from the Ottoman Empire or the countries that had postal organisations within the Ottoman Empire during that period. The exhibits’ themes must be associated with the Ottoman Empire, the Turkish War of Independence, the Republic of Turkey, Levant posts, military postal services in World War I, wars before or after WWI in the region (Balkan and independent wars and so on), maritime, air and train posts of those states, which separated from the Ottoman Empire, and specific to this region and period.
