The Associação de Filatelia e Coleccionismo do Vale do Neiva has been very active in promoting philately and supporting the philatelic growth of its members, by organising courses and exhibitions, publishing an appreciated magazine and a number of books. In the very short period since its foundation in 1996 it has become one of the best societies in the country.
