Themaphila (Belgium)
Themaphila is a very active society for anyone interested in Thematic Philately. The society holds monthly meetings, publishes a quarterly journal with more than 50 pages of useful articles per issue, maintains a website, and is active on Facebook. Themaphila frequently organises stamp exhibitions, most recently Skalafila in Kalken earlier this year. This event was part of the society’s 60th-anniversary celebrations, also marked by a special edition of its journal.
For many years, the society has run a “one-page competition,” which has served as a stepping stone for numerous collectors to develop one-frame, multi-frame, and competitive exhibits. Many of these exhibitors remain active today and assist newcomers with their first page.
Themaphila is truly a dynamic, positive and creative society.
