The Slovenian Philatelic Association announces the twelfth biennial philatelic exhibition of Narrow Theme Exhibits with international participation which will take place at the Gorenjski Museum in Kranj from 3 to 12 September 2026.
It is probably the oldest specialised exhibition of One-Frame exhibits with international participation in Europe, as the first was held in the autumn of 2003 and has taken place every other year since.
From the very first exhibition, there were participants from several countries, mainly from the Alpe-Adria and Western Balkan regions. The purpose of the exhibition was to promote the then-new and experimental One-Frame Exhibits Class.
The name Eno Okno (One Window or a window into a story!), coined by the initiators of this series, Mihael I. Fock and Igor Pirc, quickly became established in Slovenia. Each subsequent exhibition has been named using an ordinal number. In 2026, it will be DvanajstoOkno (Twelfth Window).
The exhibition, which consistently attracts international participation and typically features between 50 and 60 exhibits, has undergone two major developments. The first occurred during the Covid-19 period, when the event also shifted from odd to even years, and we invited foreign exhibitors to participate with digital exhibits. Visitors could view these on a projection screen or via the internet, allowing participation from all around the world.
The second change, introduced two years ago, was the transition from One-Frame to Narrow Theme Exhibits—implementing the FEPA Guidelines—allowing exhibits on narrower topics comprising between one and three “windows”.
An important aspect of the exhibition is the evaluation of exhibit quality and the provision of feedback and guidance to exhibitors by FIP and FEPA jurors.
The Slovenian Philatelic Association and the Gorenjski Museum, Kranj, warmly invite you to take part!
We are pleased to announce that the Museum has introduced new features to enhance your experience when exploring the collections.
Search Box Integration – A search bar is now available on both the homepage and in the top menu. It allows you to search the collections, individual pages (by selecting the option “deep search in collections” to include the full text of each page), as well as collectors and rarities—accessible from anywhere on the site.
Improved Collection Pages – You can now enlarge collection pages to see every piece in greater detail. Navigation has also been simplified: you no longer need to return to the main collection page to move between pages.
These improvements have been made possible thanks to your generous donations, from the Friends of the Museum, and more updates are on the way. We warmly invite you to continue supporting our Museum so that together we can keep our hobby visible and accessible, and provide high-quality access to the world’s finest stamp collections—wherever you are.
