The French Philatelic Federation (Fédération Française des Associations Philatéliques, FFAP) has unveiled its revamped website, featuring a modern design, easy navigation, and a wealth of useful information; a true gem for philately enthusiasts.
Two years before its grand opening, BOSTON 2026 WORLD EXPO is preparing to celebrate the United States 250th anniversary with a big philatelic show at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC). According to the organisers, there will be 33,000 m² of exhibition space with a sizeable dealers’ and postal administrations’ bourse, philatelic societies’ booths, and 3500-4000 exhibition frames.
The 52-page Bulletin #1, recently released, shares information about the city of Boston, exhibition hotels, the BCEC, participating dealers, an impressive donors list, and much more.
At the recent Philatelic Exhibition, EFIRO 2024, in Bucharest, the Union of Philatelists of Serbia and the Post of Serbia applied to the FIP to host a world philatelic exhibition in Belgrade. The FIP Board of Directors accepted the proposal. Ratification of the decision is expected at the FIP Congress in December in Shanghai. Peter Suhadolc (Slovenia) was appointed FIP Consultant, assisted by Yigal Nathaniel (Israel).
“By entrusting the organisation of a world exhibition, which will be held for the first time in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, Belgrade was honoured, trusted and obliged to become the capital of the world philately within the specialised exhibition EXPO 2027”, stated the Post of Serbia. It was pointed out that Belgrade will have the opportunity to show its rich history and present itself as an open, hospitable city, ready to welcome philatelists and postage stamp enthusiasts from all over the world.
The International Philatelic Exhibition will be organised by the Union of Philatelists of Serbia with the support of the Government of Serbia and the Post of Serbia.
