The American Society for Netherlands Philately released the following offer to collectors on 24 August:
Free Society Membership for Netherlands Collectors
For the third year in a row, the American Society for Netherlands Philately is offering a free yearly membership to collectors worldwide who sign up for their electronic option beginning in September.
The ASNP, APS affiliate # 60, was founded by Paul van Reyen in 1975 as the successor of Netherlands and Colonial Philately (NCP), which had been the premier organization of Netherlands and related area collectors for many years. In an effort to further promote the society, the ASNP Board offers both a print and an electronic option for members based on preference for receiving their bimonthly publication, Netherlands Philately, published since its founding. Unique was the offer of a free yearly membership to those selecting the electronic membership. Collectors interested in receiving a black and white magazine paper copy would be charged $25 for US residents and $35 elsewhere to defray yearly publication and mailing costs. Both offers remain unchanged for the 2023-24 membership that begins in September.
Longtime member and current magazine editor, Ben Jansen, welcomes new members among their ranks, saying “We are doubling our efforts in September to encourage even those collectors with a casual interest in Netherlands philately to join us, especially through our free offer. Beginners through advanced collectors will find interesting articles in our publication, can buy and sell material through our auctions and request books and periodicals from our extensive library, all potentially for free.”
Full details about the ASNP, benefits of joining and these membership offers can be found on their web site at http://www.asnp1975.com.

We received the following communication from the Board of the Cyprus Philatelic Society on their great initiative to invite Lebanese fellow philatelists to Nicosia, Cyprus.
On the 21st and 22nd of October 2023, a philatelic meeting will take place in Nicosia, between the Cyprus Philatelic Society and the Lebanese Philatelic Association, both members of FEPA. The meeting will consist of nine presentations, four from each Association and the ninth one will be given by the President of FEPA, Mr Bill Hedley.
The meeting was proposed by the Cyprus Philatelic Society to the Lebanese Association during the exhibition at Liberec 2022, when Lebanon joined the FEPA family. The Cyprus Philatelic Society felt that it was appropriate to host this event as a welcoming gesture towards our Lebanese friends as Cyprus and Lebanon lie in such proximity.
We are delighted that the President of FEPA will be present at the meeting, something that uplifts the status of the event.
