O Philatelista is a philatelic blog in Portuguese that was aired in May 2013 and celebrated its 10th anniversary this month. What is exceptional about it is its consistency: 3636 posts from 1 June 2013 to 30 April 2023, i.e. in 3621 days. This is EXACTLY one post per day over the 10-year blog’s lifetime!
Mario Paiva is the tireless figure behind the blog. His readers are informed about new stamp issues, newly published catalogues, general literature, exhibitions, auctions and other philatelic events, with emphasis on the ones of Portuguese or Brazilian philatelic interest. He often participates in philatelic exhibitions all over the globe and proudly presents the blog’s awards online. Mario is also present on both Twitter and Facebook.

Initially announced in 2018 as IBRA 2021, the World Philatelic Exhibition was granted FEPA recognition in 2018 and FIP patronage in 2019. In July 2020, the organisers sent out a press release saying that IBRA would be postponed because of the corona pandemic. To avoid overlaps or a too tight schedule of exhibitions in 2022, they looked directly at 2023.
IBRA 2023 will welcome its visitors at the exhibition centre of Essen (Messe Essen) from Thursday, 25 May, to Sunday, 28 May. Show highlights include:
