The Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau has issued an innovative £4 postage stamp celebrating cryptocurrency that also provides a key to acquisition of blockchain-based Digital Collectibles, otherwise known as ‘non-fungible tokens’. These tokens make up a Gibraltar Genesis Collection comprised of a series of 22 iconic images of Gibraltar which is aimed at collectors in general.
The image above shows the stamp on the left with a QR Code that needs to be scanned by the purchaser to access the non-fungible tokens. On the right is a se-tenant label for the cryptocurrency issue.

The Stamp Active Network, the voluntary organisation that promotes stamp collecting for children in the UK, will be at Autumn Stampex providing free stamps and goodie bags for young collectors. The event will be fully compliant with any Covid restrictions.
Stamp Active will also be giving vouchers to fifty youngsters under 18 who come to Stampex. The vouchers will be worth £20 each, to spend with dealers at Stampex. Ten vouchers will be available on each of the first three days with a maximum of fifty vouchers overall to be given out during the show.
Autumn Stampex will take place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London from 29th September to 2nd October.
