The Stamp Active Network, the voluntary organisation that promotes stamp collecting for children in the UK, will be at Autumn Stampex providing free stamps and goodie bags for young collectors. There will be a range of free activities with prizes including Stamp Art fun. They also intend, if possible, to run the popular free children’s auction on the Saturday with appropriate social distancing measures in place. The event will be fully compliant with any Covid restrictions.
Stamp Active will also be giving vouchers to fifty youngsters under 18 who come to Stampex. The vouchers will be worth £20 each, to spend with dealers at Stampex. Ten vouchers will be available on each of the first three days with a maximum of fifty vouchers overall to be given out during the show.
Autumn Stampex will take place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London from 29th September to 2nd October.

Italy’s first planned virtual exhibition, Phil-Italia 4.0, opened on 17th May. It includes a national exhibition with 13 exhibits in the thematic and open philately classes, and a qualifying exhibition with 29 exhibits in thematic and open philately, postal history, and traditional philately.
Phil-Italia 4.0 is organised jointly by the Collezionisti Italiani Francobolli Ordinari (CIFO) and the Centro Italiano di Filatelia Tematica (CIFT), two national associations who are members of the Italian Federation of Philatelic Societies (FSFI). If pandemic restrictions permit, the award ceremony will be held in Milan on 12th June during a philatelic meeting and will be streamed online. The key features of the best-in-class exhibits will be presented at the ceremony by appointed jurors. Afterwards, exhibitors will be able to arrange video calls with the relevant jurors to discuss how to improve their exhibits.
Two online philatelic seminars, patronised by FSFI, will take place in the preceding weekend: one for beginner thematic exhibitors (by Paolo Guglielminetti and Giancarlo Morolli) and the other for exhibitors and jurors in open philately (by Giancarlo Morolli and Marco Occhipinti).
