On the 30th of October was held at the auditorium of the Spanish Royal Mint, FNMT, the Gala of the presentation of the prizes of the year, organized by the President of the NEXO Group, Mr. Eugenio de Quesada, with the presence of high State, Post and Philatelic authorities. Also were awarded the stamps with the Best Design, Original Format, Most Innovative, Best Hand Engraved, Best Offset, Best Mixed Printing, Best Definitive Basic Series, Best Souvenir Sheet and Best Luxury Proof, being awarded stamps issued by the Posts of Belgium, Spain, Austria, Italy, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Germany, Liechtenstein, Iceland, New Zealand, Hungary and Czech Republic.
The International Jury was formed for Presidents of Philatelic Federations and Academies from 33 different countries as detailed at the list below.

On Sunday 20th October, the curtain fall on the European Philatelic Exhibition “Plovdiv Phila 2019” held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), the European city of culture 2019. The Philatelic Exhibition was organized by the Philatelic Federation of the Bulgarian Philatelic Societies with the European Philately Academies, under the Recognition of FEPA and Support of FIP.
Participated exhibits from 16 national federations: Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Israel, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Participated also two philatelic academies: Italy and Turkey. There were about 500 frames and 18 titles of philatelic literature.

Was displayed the very special collection of Mr Idor Gatti. His collection of Bulgaria stamps, cancellations, very rare and unique items was displayed on 30 frames.

King Simeon of Bulgaria, who said words od appreciation for the quality of the magazine while Thomas Mathà (left side), President of the AIEP, the International Association of Philatelic Experts and co-founder of the Magazine of International Postal History awarded H.M.King Simeon of Bulgaria for his support to Philately. There were no jurors. Were awarded only the best National and the best International exhibits chosen by the national commissioners and some experts who were present.
Beside the exceptional mentioned exhibit of Mr Gatti there were two more Bulgarian exhibits of very high level, both already awarded with gold medals (Mr. Spas Panchev and Mr. Orlin Todorov).

During the closing gala dinner, the names of the winners of the two Grand Prices were revealed: the National one for Bulgarian collections went to Mr. Idor Gatti while the International one to Mr. Vittorio Morani for his collection “Tuscany 1848-1866: Letter mail in, from and to Tuscany. Routes, Rates and Charges”.

The FEPA Board has unanimously decided to grant the FEPA Recognition to the multinational exhibition “NORDIA 2021” as requested by the Finnish Federation.
NORDIA 2021 will be held in Kuopio, Finland, on March 12-14, 2021 organized by Kuopion Filatelistikerho (Philatelic Society of Kuopio) and the Finnish Philatelic Federation.
NORDIA 2021 exhibition is open to all collectors who are members of member societies of the National or Youth Federations of the Nordic countries (Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark). Members of the Scandinavian Collectors Club in USA, and the Estonian Philatelic Federation can also participate the exhibition.

The size of the exhibition is about 800 frames in all competition classes including postcards and open philately. For the first time in the history of the Nordia exhibitions it will also have an experimental FDC class.
