The Spanish Federation (FESOFI) has published a new book on disinfected mail and has generously put it on its website where it can be downloaded free of charge.
The title of the book is: “From the Great Plague of Marseille (1720-1722) to the Covid-19”. The authors are Esteve Doménech and Antonio Llacér, and the book was produced on the initiative of Miguel Ángel Garcia Fernandez, President of FESOFI in response to the current emergency. It was sponsored by Correos, the Spanish Post, and it has been distributed to 800 Healthcare institutions in Spain and to all societies and clubs who are members of FESOFI.
The book is a reminder that dangerous epidemics are nothing new, and it examines how the post has played its part in combatting them in a variety of ways over several centuries to the present day.

We have been informed that it has regrettably been necessary to cancel the WÜBA 2020 event for young philatelists, including the Stamp Camp, that was due to be held in Würzburg in September 2020. This is because of the current pandemic restrictions.
The event may be rescheduled in 2021. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
We send our best wishes to DPhJ as they deal with this frustrating development in their efforts to promote youth philately.
