Philately of high level again in France : Paris Philex 2016

170 exhibits, including those of the Federations guests, Spain and Italy, were present at the Exhibitions Park « Port de Versailles » for a new festival of philately.

As in our best dreams, a longue qeue of people waiting to entered the exhibition.

The Palmares was chaired by Monsieur Jérôme NORMAND Sous-préfet representing Monsieur le Préfet de l’Ile de France. The Sèvres vase offered by the President of the Republic as Grand Prix was for Monsieur Jean-Jacques CAHUZAC for his exhibit of Postal History “Le 25 c. Cerès de 1871”.

Also was celebrated the 89th Congress of the French Federation with a friendly atmosphère and a big participation of most of the Clubs belonging to the French Federation. Also were present :

At the endof the Congress, the President of the French Federation Mr. Claude Desarmenien handed out the Medal for the Philatelic Mérit to Anny BOYARD, Présidente of the French Maximaphily.

SUCCESSFUL FEPA EXHIBITION “ROSSICA 2016” WITH PHILATELISTS FROM 18 COUNTRIES

Opening Ceremony

From the 20^th to the 22^nd May 2016 was held the International Philatelic Biennial Exhibition “ROSSICA 2016” in the Russian House for Science and Culture in Berlin.

The event was organized jointly by the Russian National Academy of Philately, the German National Academy of Philately and the Schwaneberger publishing company in cooperation with the Russian House in Berlin, the Berlin-Brandenburg philatelic society and the Berlin Association of friends of Russian / Soviet postage stamp, under the supervision of the German Federation – Bund Deutscher Philatelisten. The exhibition received FEPA Recognition. The Club de Monte-Carlo was the Guest of Honour at the “Rossica-2016”. The representatives from 18 countries took part at the show. The exhibition was organized under the patronage of the European Academy of Philately (AEP) and International Association of Publishers of Stamp Catalogues, Albums, and Philatelic Magazines (ASCAT).

International Seminars on Fakes and Forgeries from Nicos Rangos and Jovan Basho

Mr. Nicos Rangos during his very interesting Seminar

Coinciding with the Balkanfila 2016 exhibition in Tirana, Nicos Rangos and Jovan Basho presented very interesting Seminars on Fakes and Forgeries from two different approaches.

The Seminar of Mr. Nicos Rangos was “How to protect our collections from fakes and forgeries”. The presentation of Dr. Basho was “Stamps of Autonom Republic of Korça, forgeries and errors in printing”. Both were followed with attention by a numerous audience who appreciated the clarity and practical use of the presentations helping to recognize fakes and forgeries amongst other important philatelic aspects.
