We have read from the BDPh website that the PHILA-ESSEN 2024 stamp fair, announced earlier in September (see earlier post here), was not attractive enough to stamp dealers. The number of applications for participation received was insufficient.
The BDPh board, in close coordination with the APHV board, has therefore regretfully decided that holding PHILA-ESSEN in 2024 is not realistic, and thanked everyone who was committed to holding the event.

Nicola Davis, Head of Collections at the Royal Philatelic Society London, introduces us to the oldest philatelic society in the world and its magnificent premises. The seven-storey building on 15 Abchurch Lane was built in 1915 and has been the new location of the Royal since 2019 when the Society celebrated its 150th anniversary.
The tour includes the Lounge, the Library in the upper basement, the rolling stacks in the lower basement where the archives and rare books are kept and much more.
