Gwynne Harries was Elected Chairman of ABPS

At its recent AGM, the Association of British Philatelic Societies (ABPS) elected Dr D. Gwynne Harries as its new Chairman.

A long-standing member of several specialist philatelic societies, Dr Harries has contributed to their operation, organisation and representation in various capacities over the years. A Life Member and Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London, he currently serves on the Society’s Council, the Collections Committee, the Publications Committee, and the Crawford Medal Committee. In addition, he manages the websites for the Society of Postal Historians, Burton Philatelic Society, Scandinavia Philatelic Society, and the Sudan Study Group.
