IBRA 2023 Newsletter No.5 (7 June)
The following Newsletter arrived yesterday from IBRA 2023:
Welcome to the 5th IBRA Newsletter
IBRA is now over and the gates of the fair in Essen have closed again. What remains are countless memories of a true philatelic festival.

Impressive figures
The figures alone are impressive: a good 13,000 visitors on four days of the fair. Almost 800 exhibits in the FIP competition. 64 Grossgold ratings. Countless individual contacts, lectures, technical discussions. The mail from the special post office of the Deutsche Bundespost has already been delivered, sending numerous greetings from IBRA all over the world.
Countless frames, but not a desert of frames: the FIP exhibition was a lively and knowledgeable crowd of visitors.

Thanks to all
Most of the helpers are getting back on their feet after a few days of rest and breather, and the last finishing touches are being made. Collections, certificates and medals are arriving from many exhibitors. And the organisers are still receiving countless e-mails with feedback and thanks.

All in all: it was great. A true celebration of philately.
The Federal Executive Committee of the BDPh and all members of the IBRA organising committee would like to thank everyone who made this IBRA such a success: All visitors, sponsors, patrons, dealers, post offices, working groups, exhibitors, jurors, commissioners, helpers, the staff of Messe Essen and everyone who supported us in any other way.
Prominently present: Deutsche Post’s special post office.

Follow-up on the Internet
In the meantime, the IBRA website at ibra2023.de/en/home-english/ has been restructured.
The latest news can be found in the news section, the palmares can be downloaded at ibra2023.de/en/ausstellung-en/palmares-en/, numerous photos and impressions of IBRA can be found at ibra2023.pixieset.com/ibra2023/, and we have summarised the press reviews at ibra2023.de/news/presse/.
So it’s still worthwhile to take a look at our website.
The crowning glory: BDPh President Alfred Schmidt receives the Grand Prix National.

The IBRA Newsletter becomes the BDPh Newsletter
This letter concludes the series of IBRA circulars. In future we want to inform you about the activities of the BDPh as a whole via this format. Unfortunately, the new BDPh circular will only be available in German. If you are not interested in receiving the BDPh Newsletter in the future, please let us know via the “Unsuscribe” button. If you receive this newsletter in an official capacity, such as club chairman or Arge president, you will continue to receive the newsletter via your entry in the BDPh’s Sewobe address database.
A big thank you at the end
…. We can say no more.
