ITALIA 2026 FEPA Seminar: Post and Bytes

A “virtual visit” to the Posti Museo in Tampere, Finland.

During the Literature Exhibition ITALIA 2026 in Rome, a FEPA Seminar will be dedicated to the Posti Museo in Tampere, Finland. In a live video conference, we will be given a virtual tour of its permanent exhibition Post and Bytes as well as an introduction to the museum’s philatelic section. The idea is to learn how communication, the organisation of postal services and philately are presented and explained to visitors, especially those who are not connected with the ‘philatelic world’.

The presentations will be given by Suvi Jalli, Head of Exhibitions, and Maria Pietila, Head of Information Services. At the end of the Seminar, we can ask them to talk a bit more about particular aspects of the museum.

The Seminar will take place on Friday, 16 October, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
