Predrag Cuki Antić’s “The Principality and Kingdom of Serbia” at the PTT Museum
One of Serbia’s most prominent philatelists, Predrag Cuki Antić, has opened the exhibition “The Principality and Kingdom of Serbia” at the PTT Museum, showcasing his two most valuable collections.
Antić emphasised the importance of encouraging young philatelists to channel their research and passion for the hobby into exhibiting, as this is a way of preserving fragments of history and uncovering new details that might otherwise remain unknown.
The President of the Serbian Philatelists’ Association, Vladimir Milić, highlighted that Predrag Cuki Antić is one of the greatest philatelists Serbia has ever had and, without a doubt, the country’s finest exhibitor. Milić noted that Antić’s Classical Serbia collection, presented to the wider international audience through two exhibits – one on the Principality of Serbia and the other on the Kingdom of Serbia – essentially tells the story of the development of the Serbian postal service and, simultaneously, the evolution of the Serbian state.
The Director of the PTT Museum, Marko Jelić, thanked Antić for organising the exhibition, which stands as a testament to decades of collecting, as well as for his efforts – as a true patriot, in Jelić’s words – to repatriate the most significant and valuable philatelic items from the Principality and Kingdom of Serbia.
The exhibition is open until 25 June 2025. Entry is free.
