Smart@Ulm: Hybrid Exhibition for Youngsters
Dittmar Wöhlert of Landesring Süd-West e.V. has sent us the following Press Release:
On September 21 at 4 p.m., the first hybrid stamp exhibition for young people will enter the next phase: smart@Ulm will open and then go online. After the opening, the exhibits will be accessible worldwide via the event website https://smart.lrsw.de. The judges will start their work at the same time and evaluate the exhibits only via the Internet presentation, so that the award ceremony can take place punctually during IBB Ulm on October 26 at 12 noon. The exhibits will then remain online until December 31.
A total of 17 exhibits have registered for this event. Among them are seven young first-time exhibitors who are taking part in a philatelic competition for the first time. As smart@Ulm is a hybrid exhibition, 6-12 sheets of each exhibit selected by the exhibitor will be shown at the International Stamp Fair in Ulm. The youth stand will also offer the opportunity to study the exhibits “live” on the Internet using the organisation’s own tablets.
“We are delighted that our project has motivated so many children and young people to turn their collections into exhibits ready for display,” says project manager Anette Hecker-Köhler, looking forward to the opening. “I am sure that this will give exhibiting a future in the future.”
