TIMFILEX 2023 is coming up in Timișoara, 21-24 September

TIMFILEX 2023 is organised by the Timișoara Philatelic Association from 21 to 24 September and is held under the Patronage of the Romanian Philatelic Federation and the Recognition of FEPA. The beautiful and historic city of Timișoara has been selected as a European Capital of Culture for 2023.

One hundred years ago in Timișoara, between 22 and 25 September 1923, the First National Philatelic Exhibition dedicated to Philatelist’s day and the first Philatelic Congress took place. The Exhibition gave the opportunity to great names of Romanian philately to participate with their collections: George Matheescu, Rudolf Zosczak, Baron Witzleben, the dealers Saraga and Lupovici, Geza von Jakots or Bela Fiatska and Dezider Urmenyi from Timișoara.

TIMFILEX 2023 will take place at Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara. Exhibits from Romania and abroad will be mounted on approximately 400 frames. The visitors may attend seminars related to the “Romanian philately, yesterday and today”. A Collectors Fair will also take place at the premises.
