Youth philately on show at virtual SÜDWEST 2021 exhibition from 1st May

The hard-working German Youth Philately organisation DPhJ has drawn our attention to SÜDWEST 2021, a virtual exhibition organised by the Landesverband Südwest im BDPh. It includes no less than 24 Youth exhibits from young people and groups on a range of themes including historical personalities, sport and animals as well as traditional philately and postal history. The head of the DPhJ exhibition department, Anette Hecker-Köhler, played a major part in organising this exceptional contribution from young exhibitors.

The exhibition manager Bernward Schubert commented: “We are aware that an online exhibition cannot replace a physical exhibition, but we will not let the virus spoil our enjoyment of exhibiting. We have a total of 87 exhibitors. A great result! Today we have the technical ability to display the competition online and would like to use this opportunity to try out a few new things. In addition, many more collectors have the opportunity to look at the exhibits in peace. I’m looking forward to a great exhibition on the Internet, it is a great advertisement for our hobby.”
