Exhibition: Il voto delle donne

The exhibition ‘Il voto delle donne’ (Women’s Vote) will be open between 29 April and 10 June 2024 at the Esperienza Europa – David Sassoli exhibition space, Piazza Venezia 6c, Rome. It is about voting rights, narrated through postage stamp images of the European Union countries.

The exhibition was born from the idea of a group of women, with various experience and training, Chiara Simon, Simonetta Freschi, Ester Pacor and Camilla Pasqua. It was realised by Chiara Simon, former manager of the Museo Telegrafico e Postale della Mitteleuropa, Trieste, Italy, and Simonetta Freschi, head of the Archivio Storico Modiano, both from Trieste.

The exhibition has arrived in Rome, after having already been hosted in other Italian cities, thanks to the initiative of the Noi Rete Donne organisation which, on the eve of the next European elections, wants to revive the history of women’s right to vote in the European Union countries.
