STAMPA 2025
The 53rd Irish National Stamp Exhibition (STAMPA) was held at the Griffith College Conference Centre in Dublin between 10th-12th October and brought together collectors from Ireland, Great Britain, Europe and North America. With well over 100 frames of exhibits and displays there was plenty to see and a good range of dealers was on hand to help visitors add to their collections. Notable landmarks that were marked were the 250th anniversary of the birth of Daniel O’Connell (with a special display), and the 75th anniversary of the USA-based Éire Philatelic Association with a dinner. The exhibition was well attended and, as always, the atmosphere was jovial and engaging.
The competition included 42 exhibits in 10 classes and the overall winner was Des Quail with an outstanding exhibit in the Picture Postcard class on ‘The Development and Usage of the Postcard in Ireland 1870-1918’.
