Exhibitor Hazel Elmslie is making history at CAPEX 22

CAPEX 22 opened at 9 am, on Thursday 9 June, as expected. Early in the next morning, the organisers sent a report of the opening day with a lot of photos, where from we picked up the most extraordinary story for a remarkable lady philatelist who returns to CAPEX and exhibits again 44 years later:

Canadian exhibitor Hazel Elmslie is making history at CAPEX 22 this year as she is the sole exhibitor who also competed at CAPEX 78, and once again, her focus is Spanish philately with a single-frame postal history exhibit entitled “The Rueda de Carreta (Cartwheel) Cancellation of Spain.” Here, Hazel shows a special prize from the virtual exhibition in Guadalajara Mexico, Expojafil 2021 which was presented to her at CAPEX 22 by Jaime Benavides, the commissioner for Mexico.
