DOBRICH FILEX 2024 was a national Maximaphily exhibition with international participation, celebrating 145 years since the independence of Bulgaria and the introduction of the first postal and fiscal stamps in 1879.
The exhibits were displayed in approximately 200 frames, including several dedicated to postal history and revenues. It was a high-class exhibition, and with the support of the Bulgarian Philatelist Union, the Bulgarian Post, and the Town Hall of Dobrich, the opening celebration was a real success. Approximately 100 children from four schools participated in the opening ceremony and staged an extraordinary show.
When a special new stamp, stationery, or even a postmark was released by the Bulgarian Post, I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of kids who showed interest in these materials. I thank the organisers, and I am delighted to have participated in this national event.
Over the past few years, three online philatelic exhibitions have been held in Apatin. The organisers’ intention is to make a big step forward by presenting the APATIN 2024 online exhibition as a competitive event.
Co-organisers of APATIN 2024 are the Udruženje Filatelista Apatin (Philatelists Association of Apatin), the Associazione Italiana di Maximafilia (AIM), and the Federation of Italian Philatelic Societies (FSFI). The main sponsor of the exhibition is the Municipality of Apatin.
The exhibitors are not required to pay any participation fees. All collectors from around the world are invited to participate in one or more philatelic classes approved by FIP or FEPA.
We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from more than 30 FEPA Members at our annual Congress in Copenhagen where we will review progress and discuss plans for the next two years.
FEPA-supported seminars at HAFNIA 24
Two significant seminars will take place on Friday during the HAFNIA 24 exhibition at the venue, presented by prominent philatelists. The first will cover the latest developments in Open Philately, and the second will focus on the art and science of expertising. Exhibition visitors are warmly invited to attend.

APATIN 2024: A competitive virtual exhibition
