The”Multiarea-palasettembre” exhibition centre in Chiuduno, near Bergamo, hosted “Bergamofil 2024” from September 27 to 29. This “66th Philatelic Convention and Exhibition” included the traditional trade event and one of the yearly national exhibitions of the Federation among Italian Philatelic Societies (FSFI), this time reserved for the aero-philatelic, postal history, thematic, and traditional classes. The Grand Prix in the Champion class was awarded to Pasquale Piccirillo for the exhibit “Dominion on this side of the lighthouse: from Ferdinand II to Victor Emmanuel 1858-1861”, while that in the Competition class went to Flavio Riccitelli for “On the wings of the swallow (1926 -1934).”
During the event, the assemblies of the Italian Centre for Thematic Philately and the Italian Postal History Association were held, which proceeded to the renewal of their officers. Marco Occhipinti (who had recently succeeded Paolo Guglielminetti) and Luca Lavagnino, who became vice president of FSFI in recent days, were respectively reappointed.
