The FEPA Board carefully considered the proposals received from the member Federations for the FEPA Medals 2013 at its meeting in Vienna on 17 February 2014.
The recipients of the FEPA awards are:
FEPA Medal 2013 for exceptional service to organised philately: Gunnar Dahlvig (Sweden)
FEPA Medal 2013 for exceptional philatelic study and research: Stephano Calliga (Greece) for “The Stamps of the Large Hermes Heads 1861-1886”
FEPA Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding activities for the promotion of philately:

BALKANFILA 2014 will be held in April, 5-7, 2014 in the town of Vidin (250 km north of Sofia) under the honorary patronage of Mr. Mihail Mikov, Chairman of the 42nd National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Organizers will be Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Bulgarian Posts Ltd., Union of the Bulgarian Philatelists and District Administration of Vidin. About 250 exhibition frames will participate in the exhibition and exhibits from 5 competition classes will be included. Philatelic federations of all the countries from the Balkan peninsula, Cyprus, Moldova and Russia (it is its doing the foundation of the Bulgaria state administration and the Bulgarian posts in 1878-1879) are invited to participate.
