FEPA Awards 2013
GUNNAR DAHLVIG AND STEPHANO CALLIGA ARE THE RECIPIENTS OF THE FEPA MEDALS 2013
The FEPA Board carefully considered the proposals received from the member Federations for the FEPA Medals 2013 at its meeting in Vienna on 17 February 2014.
The recipients of the FEPA awards are:
FEPA Medal 2013 for exceptional service to organised philately: Gunnar Dahlvig (Sweden)
FEPA Medal 2013 for exceptional philatelic study and research: Stephano Calliga (Greece) for “The Stamps of the Large Hermes Heads 1861-1886”
FEPA Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding activities for the promotion of philately:

Le Conseil FEPA a analysé les propositions reçues des Fédérations membres pour les Médailles FEPA 2013 lors de sa réunion à Vienne le 17 Février 2014.
Les lauréats des prix FEPA sont:

Der Vorstand der FEPA analysierte die Vorschläge, die von den Mitgliedsländern zur Vergabe der FEPA Medaillen 2013 eingereicht wurden, in der Vorstandssitzung am 17. Februar 2014 in Wien.
Die Empfänger der FEPA Preise sind:
FEPA Medaille 2013 für besonderen Einsatz in der organisierten Philatelie: Gunnar Dahlvig (Schweden)
FEPA Medaille 2013 für besondere philatelistische Studie und Forschung: Stephano Calliga (Griechenland)
FEPA Beurkundung als Anerkennung für hervorragende Aktivitäten zur Förderung der Philatelie:

La Directiva de la FEPA analizó las propuestas recibidas de las Federaciones miembros para las Medallas y los Certificados de Apreciación de la FEPA 2013 en su reunión de Viena el 17 de Febrero de 2014.

The Board of the Union of Philatelists of Serbia
On FEPANews magazine Number 23, the information about the new Board of the Union of Philatelists of Serbia showed the wrong flag. Here is the correct flag of Serbia. We apologize and are pleased to report again the new Board. It consists of all the regional representatives directly delegated and confirmed by the Assembly.

BALKANFILA 2014 gets FEPA Recognition
BALKANFILA 2014 will be held in April, 5-7, 2014 in the town of Vidin (250 km north of Sofia) under the honorary patronage of Mr. Mihail Mikov, Chairman of the 42nd National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Organizers will be Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Bulgarian Posts Ltd., Union of the Bulgarian Philatelists and District Administration of Vidin. About 250 exhibition frames will participate in the exhibition and exhibits from 5 competition classes will be included. Philatelic federations of all the countries from the Balkan peninsula, Cyprus, Moldova and Russia (it is its doing the foundation of the Bulgaria state administration and the Bulgarian posts in 1878-1879) are invited to participate.
