BERNABA ’25 is a National and Multilateral Philatelic Exhibition of Level I. It will be held in the exhibition halls of BernExpo from 14 to 17 May.
The last stamp exhibition in Bern took place in 1965 with NABRA. Over the past two and a half years, the Organising Committee has worked with great dedication to present a multifaceted Class I exhibition at the national and multilateral levels. BERNABA ’25 will celebrate the 175th anniversary of Switzerland’s first federal stamp, issued in 1850 and designed and printed by Carl Durheim in Bern.
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire part of the Royal Philatelic Collection, along with exhibits of more than 200 participants from different countries. They can also visit the stands of thirty stamp dealers and auction houses, and participate in various workshops, where they can try their hand at lithography, papermaking, calligraphy, genealogy or transcribing historical texts. A ride on a historic postcoach will be an experience to remember.
The Finnish Philatelic Federation (Suomen Filatelistiliitto r.y.) announced significant changes to its publication strategy. Filatelisti magazine will be published in print four times a year, accompanied by at least ten Filatelisti newsletters, distributed via email. The magazine will focus on philatelic studies, presentations, and educational content, while the newsletter will concentrate on faster-paced communication of various current news topics. In addition, 8–10 online lectures (webinars) will be held annually, exclusively for members, which will be recorded and added to the archives on the Federation’s website.
Savings from production and printing costs will be reflected in a reduction of 2026 membership fees from €75 to €66.
