Organized by the Romanian Philatelic Federation and the Romanian Society of Maximaphily “Dr. Valeriu Neaga”, from the 3rd to the 5th of September has been held in Sibiu, the National Maximaphily Exhibition with international participation SIBIUMAX 2015.
The City Hall, a real jewel of the medieval town Sibiu, was the place where the “SIBIUMAX 2015” exhibition was successfully hosted. Fifty seven exhibits in total were on display in different halls of the beautiful building, coming from 10 countries: Romania, Luxembourg. Canada. Cyprus. Denmark. France. Italy. Moldavia, Serbia and Spain.

Dr. Teddy Dahinden from Switzerland, was the initiator and strong promoter of Astrophilately.
As founder and President of the Society of space philatelists in Zürich in 1969 he organised the first 3 WERABA specialised Space Philately Exhibitions in Zurich and Luzern 1970-73.
In 1976 was elected President of the Swiss Philatelic Federation, chairing it for eleven years, where he continued the promotion by succeeding in the acceptance of the new called “Astrophilately”.
He was also a great Thematic collector. His exhibit “The Dog: Man’s Friend and Helper”, built together with his wife Henrike, reached several Large Gold medals. He was Director and FIP Vicepresident.
He was born on the 6th of January 1926, dying on the 12th of September 2015 at the age of 89 years. Rest in peace a great philatelist and a wonderful person.

It was a real successful exhibition with more than 80 collections. There was a special room only for Astrophilately organized by Mr. Igor Rodin with the presence of two active Russian cosmonauts: Oleg Artemyev and Roman Romanenko with their wifes. A lot of dealers from the different countries as well as the post administrations from the United Nations, Liechtenstein and of course Austria.
The Austrian Post issued two new stamps and 12 different special post marks during the 4 days of the exhibition. Right, Mrs Eveline Kunz with the cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Roman Romanenko.
