Traveling with stamps – the new JUNGE SAMMLER makes it possible

The summer holidays are over. School has started. The new issue of JUNGE SAMMLER magazine brings back some of the holiday spirit. The theme of travel is the main theme of the booklet. At the same time, the philatelic events are coming up in autumn: the Ulm stamp fair is worth a trip. So it’s worth taking a look at the JUNGE SAMMLER. The magazine is available online and printed in the mailbox.

Bodensee is certainly a very popular holiday region. And the island of Mainau in particular is a magnet for visitors. In addition to a lot of history and a favorable climate, the island still has its own post office (partner branch). An exotic travel destination is Japan. With a well-known road also on rails from Tokyo to Osaka. The eastern coast is accessible with the Tokaido over almost 500 kilometers. Historical images on stamp sheets provide evidence of this important transport route. Gibraltar is on the edge of Europe. The wildlife there is also worth a trip. It’s about the Netherlands in great detail. Two articles deal with the country and philately of our neighbor in the north-west. In the articles, the JUNGE SAMMLER offers many opportunities to “travel” to well-known and lesser-known destinations. The mini poster also deals with a journey from Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” novel. An illustration is used on a very special current issue of Switzerland.

Monika Meinecke shows how you can travel cheaply through almost all of Germany with the Deutschlandticket with her visit from Hamburg to Trier. The photo page with pictures from NAPOSTA Trier and the German Team Championships of the Young Stamp Friends 2023 almost rounds off the main topic of travel. The next trip has already been decided: the Ulm stamp fair awaits young stamp fans in particular with a great youth program.

Philatelic topics also include paleophilately and the collection area inflation. The article by Tadeus Ras deals with the diverse possibilities of collecting inflation. Incidentally, inflation is also the stand motto in Ulm.
