Exceptional overprint on 10.000 souvenir sheets to celebrate the designation of Paris as the host city of the J.O. 2024

  

 

The French Post, “La Poste”, has made an exceptional overprint to celebrate the nomination of Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. The overprint has been made the 14th of September, the next day of the designation in Lima, over the stamp issued in May for the candidature. Only 10.000 souvenir sheets with vignettes of 24 stamps each have been overprinted.
