On 7 December the General Assembly of the European Academy of Philately (AEP) took place in Monte-Carlo. Was elected as new President Bruno Crevato-Selvaggi. And Members of the Board of Directors :

Meeting of the Philatelies of Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland

On the 16th of November, four Postal Administrations and four Philatelists Federations had a successful meeting in Austria to plan together an important event on the “Stamp Day” in Feldkirch in 2014. In the picture, Ivo Bader, Alfred Kunz, Uwe Decker and Wolfgang Peschel amongst others.

“Hellas-Cyprus 2013” national level bilateral philatelic exhibition with international participation was organised by the Hellenic Philotelic Society (HPS) under the patronage of the Hellenic Philatelic Federation (EFO). Presentation of Opus XIII, the annual volume of the European Academy of Philately for 2013, dedicated to the Hellenic philately

On Tuesday 29 October was the official presentation of Opus XIII, the annual volume of the European Academy of Philately (AEP, Académie Européenne de Philatélie) for 2013, which was dedicated to Hellenic philately. The event, held in Athens, was honoured by the presence of (Ms.) Anna Lydaki, Professor of Social Science at the Panteion University, Henk Slabbinck, President of the European Academy of Philately, and Guy Coutant, Editor of Opus. International Jury Seminar in Budapest

On the 18,19 and 20 of October 2013 was held the 2nd International Jury seminar of Budapest. Was organized by the Hungarian Federation (MABÉOSZ), with FEPA recognition, being manager and responsible, Dénes Czirók The themes of this edition wereTraditional, Postal History and Thematic, acting as Team Leaders: Brian Trotter RDP (Great Britain), Kurt Kimmel RDP (Switzerland), Peter Suhadolc (Slovenia) and José-Ramon Moreno (Spain). It was a great success of organization and participation, with 48 jurors from 18 countries.

FEPA CONGRESS 2013
The Congress of the European Federation of Philatelic Associations (FEPA), held on 5 October in Madrid, elected its new Board, which shall serve for the period 2013-2017. The Board is composed of: José-Ramón Moreno (Spain), President; Giancarlo Morolli (Italy), Vice-president; Bojan Bračič (Slovenia), Secretary; Alfred Kunz (Austria), Treasurer; Birthe King (Great Britain) and Nicos Rangos (Cyprus), Directors. With the admission of the Principality of Monaco FEPA unites the national associations and the federations of 43 European and Mediterranean countries. During the Congress, Giancarlo Morolli presented the preliminary report of a study based on data supplied by 29 members concerning the current situation and the future perspectives for philately. Birthe King held an interesting Seminar on Open Philately. The former President, Jørgen Jørgensen, was elected FEPA Honorary President.

Der Kongress der Europäischen Philatelistischen Vereinigung (FEPA), welcher am 5. Oktober 2013 in Madrid abgehalten wurde, wählte einen neuen Vorstand, welcher die Geschicke des Verbandes von 2013 bis 2017 lenken wird. Der Vorstand besteht aus: José Ramón Moreno (Spanien), Präsident; Giancarlo Morolli (Italien), Vize-Präsident: Bojan Bračič (Slowenien), Sekretär; Alfred Kunz (Österreich), Kassier; Birthe King (Großbritannien), Direktorin; Nicos Rangos (Zypern), Direktor. Mit der Aufnahme des Fürstentums Monako besteht die FEPA nun aus 43 Mitgliedsstaaten aus Europa und den Mittelmeer- Anrainerstaaten. Während des Kongresses präsentierte Giancarlo Morolli den derzeitigen Stand einer Statistik, die 29 Mitgliedsstaaten über die aktuelle Situation bzw. die Zukunftsperspektive der Philatelie zur Verfügung gestellt haben. Birthe King gab einen interessanten Beitrag zum Thema „Open Philatelie“ zum Besten. Der scheidende Präsident Jørgen Jørgensen wurde zum Ehrenpräsident der FEPA ernannt!

El Congreso de la Federación Europea de Asociaciones Filatélicas (FEPA), celebrado el 5 de octubre en Madrid, eligió a su nueva Junta Directiva, que desempeñará el cargo durante el período 2013-2017. La Directiva está formada por: José Ramón Moreno (España), Presidente; Giancarlo Morolli (Italia), Vicepresidente; Bojan Bračić (Eslovenia), Secretario; Alfred Kunz (Austria), Tesorero; Birthe King (Gran Bretaña) y Nicos Rangos (Chipre), Directores. Con la admisión del Principado de Mónaco, la FEPA une a las Federaciones Nacionales de 43 países europeos y mediterráneos. Durante el Congreso, Giancarlo Morolli presentó el informe preliminar de un estudio basado en datos proporcionados por 29 miembros sobre la situación actual y las perspectivas futuras de la filatelia. Birthe King presentó un interesante seminario sobre Filatelia Abierta. El ex presidente, Jørgen Jørgensen, fue elegido Presidente de Honor de la FEPA.

Le Conseil est composé de: José-Ramón Moreno (Espagne), Président; Giancarlo Morolli (Italie), Vice-président; Bojan Bračič(Slovénie), Secrétaire; Alfred Kunz (Autriche), Trésorier; Birthe King (Grande-Bretagne) et Nicos Rangos (Chypre), Administrateurs. Avec l’admission de la Principauté de Monaco, FEPA réunit les Fédérations nationales de 43 pays européens et méditerranéens. Pendant le Congrès, Giancarlo Morolli a présenté le rapport préliminaire d’une étude basée sur des données fournies par 29 pays membres sur la situation actuelle et les perspectives d’avenir de la philatélie. Birthe King a présenté un séminaire intéressant sur la Philatélie Ouverte. L’ancien président, Jørgen Jørgensen, a été élu Président d’Honneur de la FEPA.

Marcas postais utilizados em Portugal continental na época pré-adesiva (1799/1853) (Postage Stamps (Handstruck and Handwritten) used In Mainland Portugal in the Pre-stamp Period (1799-1853)), published in September 2012.
LUIS VIRGÍLIO DE BRITO PEREIRA FRAZÃO, as a collector of Portugal and its Overseas territories has reached the FIP Championship Class. His research of forty years on the different aspects of Portuguese philately is documented through more than 150 articles and 7 books, and the next one, on the Portuguese Pre-Philately overseas, is currently under publication.

DIETER HARTIG, President of the Federation of German Philatelists (BDPh).
During his decennial presidency he has led an intense cooperation with the neighbor countries as well as with other European and non European Federations, hosted two outstanding European exhibitions, IBRA 2009 and IPHLA 2012, and supported the European Championship of Thematic Philately in Essen since its creation in 2006.
