Søren Christian Jensen receives the Denmark Medal
At its 7th September meeting in Nyborg, the Danish Philatelic Association (DFF) awarded the Denmark Medal to Søren Christian Jensen. The reasons quoted were the recipient’s work for Danish philately, his collections, articles, and books. The Denmark Medal is the highest distinction in Danish philately.
The DFF website comments that “the best description of Søren Christian Jensen’s written works is probably one he gave himself in the exhibition catalogue for the “Den Muntre” exhibition on 4-5 November 2023, where he describes how one embarks on writing a philatelic book, which—who knows—may one day lead to another medal being awarded to yet another Danish philatelist.”
