The Rowland Hill Medal 2026
The Museum of Philately is pleased to announce that Daniel Ryterband has been awarded the second Rowland Hill Medal for his exhibit, A Country Divided: Effects of the American Civil War on the Mails. The medal was presented during the Royal Philatelic Society’s dinner held in Boston in conjunction with the Boston 2026 World Stamp Show.
Chris King presented the Museum’s medal on behalf of the President Simon Martin-Redman, and conveyed Simon’s apologies as he was unable to attend due to family circumstances.
Presented biennially, the Rowland Hill Medal recognises the exhibit published on the Museum of Philately platform since the previous award, that has earned the greatest support from current exhibitors. The medal reflects the Museum’s commitment to preserving exceptional stamp and postal history collections while promoting, educating, and inspiring the public through philately.
