Post Horn No. 5 is on the way to be delivered to its membership. The brand new 108-page issue marks three years since it first appeared in early Spring 2019 by Claudio Ernesto Manzati and his partners Giorgio Migliavacca and Thomas Mathà.
The three renowned postal history enthusiasts believe that the Post Horn aims to a more comprehensive view of postal history. So far, they have attracted plenty of big names in philately, who in turn have produced excellent articles for the magazine. If its aesthetics (graphics, illustrations, layout) are also taken into account, then the Post Horn is perhaps the most impressive philatelic recurring publication of our days.
Stamp Active will publish a new “STAMP COLLECTING GUIDE”, to be launched at the London 2022 International Stamp Exhibition. The Guide has been partly sponsored by the Philatelic Fund and the Spear Charitable Trust.
It contains a range of information including how to get started, various aspects of collecting, mounting and writing up a collection, understanding philatelic terms and much more.
The new Guide will be given to youngsters free of charge.
Adults can purchase a copy for £5 (Post Free) from Stamp Active Network, 3 Longfellow Road, Banbury OX16 9LB.
The Stamp Active Network is a voluntary group that promotes stamp collecting for children. Amongst its other initiatives, it runs a free postal club for children, KIDSTAMPS, the national youth stamp competitions, the Youth Zone at Stampex and has published a range of free activity books for youngsters.
FEPA will talk about Youth Philately in London 2022, at the Business Design Centre: Sunday 20 February at 12:00 noon. John Davies FRPSL will be the keynote speaker. The seminar is open to all.
