Junge Sammler: Welcome to the Land of Opportunity!
This is the latest press release from Axel Brockmann, the editorial office of Junge Sammler:
Just in time for the 250th anniversary of the USA, the main theme of the new issue of Junge Sammler is ‘America’. The magazine takes its young and young-at-heart readers on an exciting journey of discovery through the ‘States’. The articles cover US postmarks, Independence Hall, baseball, Route 66, the national bird of the USA and the discovery of America. Brazil, the largest country in South America by area, is also featured, as is the difference between an ‘Americano’ and an ‘American’. The comic focuses on a typically American sport: baseball.
But Junge Sammler also features other fascinating stamp-related topics: Jürgen Olschimke highlights some philatelically interesting mishaps in the production of Datamatrix stamps. Another article discusses the ‘Superman’ gold stamp.
Also included is a mini poster featuring the German special-issue ‘Alps’ stamp. In addition, there is the popular ‘Find Seven’ search puzzle, a poll on the most beautiful music stamp, and a quiz. The regional association pages provide an insight into various activities organised by the Young Stamp Collectors. And anyone wishing to exhibit their own collection will find details of upcoming events on the ‘See you there’ page.
Members of the Deutsche Philatelisten-Jugend (DPhJ) will receive the booklet by post. It is also available online on the DPhJ website at https://www.dphj.de.
