THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ITALY, OPENS THE EXHIBITION AT THE QUIRINAL PALACE

The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, opened at the Quirinale Palace, the exhibition “The Great War. The Liberation. A hundred gems of Italian philately”, conceived and organized by the Federation of Italian Philatelic Societies and the Group of Parliamentary Friends of Philately.
The exhibition highlights important moments in the history of Italy through the mail, stamps, letters and other postal documents. It ‘was set up in the new exhibition rooms of the Gregorian mansion and was presented by the curator, Bruno Crevato- Selvaggi.
Also present were the Secretary of State for Economic Development, Antonello Giacomelli, the President of the Federation of the Italian Philatelic societies, PieroMacrelli, the President of the Group of Parliamentary Friends of Philately, Carlo Giovanardi, and the top management of the Italian Post.
For the occasion, the Ministry of Economic Development issued a commemorative stamp. The exhibition will close on 28 November.
