The Union of Philatelists of Serbia launches a digital outreach initiative
We received the following report from Vladimir Milic FRPSL, Union of Philatelists of Serbia.
The Union of Philatelists of Serbia has launched a new digital initiative based on short-form video content, aimed at presenting key aspects of Serbian philately in a clear, engaging and accessible way. The project is structured as a 6-month pilot phase, with one video published per week (approximately 25–30 clips). This period will allow for a realistic assessment of audience reach, engagement, and overall impact, providing a solid basis for further development.
The initiative focuses on delivering concise, content-driven insights into important segments of national philatelic heritage, with an emphasis on rare material, postal history, and research-based topics. The primary target audience is the ex-Yugoslav region, as a shared philatelic and cultural space, while English-language subtitles ensure accessibility and position the project within a broader international context. Without such initiatives, philately risks losing visibility in the digital space. This project represents a clear strategic step towards maintaining relevance and strengthening the position of philately in a rapidly changing communication environment.
