On the 27th of May was celebrated in Tampere, in connection with the FEPA Exhibition “FINLANDIA 2017”, the FEPA Symposium of Youth Philately.
Eight FEPA Federations, amongst the most successful on Youth Philately, had their specialists in the youth field sharing their best practices to all the attendants to a full conference room of the Symposium, through presentations of around 15 minutes each: Austria (Verband Österreichischer Philatelisten-Vereine) by Alfred Kunz; Cyprus (Cyprus Philatelic Society) by Nicos Rangos; Denmark (Danmarks Filatelist Forbund) by Ib Krarup Rasmussen; France (Fédération Française des Associations Philatéliques) by Claude Desarmenien; Germany (Bund Deutscher Philatelisten) by Axel Brockmann; Slovenia (Slovenian Philatelic Association), by Bojan Bračič; Spain (Federación Española de Sociedades Filatélicas) by José Pedro Gómez-Agüero; and Sweden (Sveriges Filatelist-Förbund) by Peter Nordin.

The Postal Stationary specially made for the exhibition
On the 16th of July finished the International Estonian Philatelic Society’s 25th Anniversary’s exhibition. On the exhibition there were works presented from 6 foreign countries. The exhibition was being held in the new National Museum of Estonia. It was opened on Friday the 14th July.
On the opening, Estonian Post presented the postal stationary, which was specially made for the exhibition. On the first day, in the library of National Museum of Estonia, there was also the opening for permanent display of Philatelic’s and the Postal History literature. This kind of opportunity should help the Philatelists and the researchers of postal history in their work. Next year there should follow a permanent display for Estonia’s Philately.
On Saturday the 15th July, a family day was being held. A workshop was opened for the youngest and you could get acquainted with Estonia and its history through the Estonian Philatelic map. The evening ended with a spirited Palmares.
This year the main award went to Lithuania. It was received by Mr. Antanas Jankauskas’s compiled catalogue – Special Lithuanian Postage Stamp Catalogue (1918-2012).
Estonian Philatelists and their friends are gathering again next year on the international philatelic exhibition EstEx2018, when Estonia’s Postmark gets 100 years old.
