I have just received a telephone call from Claes Arnrup with the very sad news that Knud Mohr has passed away today.

XXI Centuries of Postal Communications in Spain: The whole book
On the 15th of July, the Spanish Post presented this terrific work which explains over its 400 pages, plenty of images, the milestones and the evolution of the Postal Communications in Spain from the Roman Empire to our days. The authors have been a group of prestigious historians coordinated by the specialists in Postal History Jose Manuel López Bernal and José María Sempere. You can read or download the whole book.

Not previously described area of the Nordic Postal History: Postal Boats Wrecks in Norway, by Egil H. Thomassen
From the late 1600s and for more than two centuries the mail was transported along the Norwegian coastline in small, open boats. Despite skilful seamanship several shipwrecks happened in this period. For the first time this area of the Postal History has been researched, thanks to the work of Egil H. Thomassen.

Exhibition “FILA-CARTO 2016 BUCHAREST” Specialized in Literature and Picture Postcards
The Research and Literature Association of Philatelists of Bucharest in cooperation with the Romanian Philatelic Federation have organized an exhibition specialized in Literature (works published in Romania or abroad since 2006) and Picture Postards, to be held at the Parliament of Romania from the 26th to the 30th of October 2016. The participation in FILA-CARTO BUCHAREST 2016 exhibition is free.

Seminars for the General Public: What such unusual initiative taught us

THE NEW ISSUE OF OUR MAGAZINE: FEPA NEWS Nº 29
A new issue of FEPA News was printed and distributed a few days ago. All the FEPA members are receiving the copies they requested for distribution within their countries. Westfila 2016: The National Belgium Championship with important Dutch participation
In a unique collaboration in Roeselare, Belgium, the Netherlands was at the national exhibition Westfila 2016, being present with a large number of collections and two members of the jury.
