FINLANDIA 2017 – Issued the Newsletter Number 2, plenty of useful information

On the 20th of June, the very active and efficient Organizing Committee of FINLANDIA 2017 has issue the Newsletter number 2, including interesting information about: Applications; the Project of FINLANDIA 2017 of which the Exhibition in Tampere is the main but not the only philatelic event; FINLANDIA 2017 is also part of the celebrations of Finland Centennial of independence; Accommodation information etc.

The Slovenian Philatelic Association elected new Board

On the 18th of June was held the Annual General Meeting of the Slovenian Philatelic Association. It was celebrated in a friendly atmosphere, and was elected the new Board: President: Peter Suhadolc, Vice presidents: Bojan Bračič and Igor Pirc

The HPS Medal Awards Ceremony 2011-2015

On 21st May 2016, was held the HPS Medal Awards Ceremony for the years 2011-2015. The awardees were: Nick Cardassilaris, Philatelic Society of Piraeus, Anthony Virvilis, Theodore Papaeliou, John Coundouros, Michalis Tsironis, Michalis Petradakis and Wolfgang Bauer.

Elections to the Board of the Hungarian Federation – MABEOSZ

On the 10th of June, the Hungarian Federation, MABEOSZ, kindly informed the members of the FEPA Board, of the result of the voting for their Board for the next two years, with the election of Peter Dunai as President

Jvo Bader, President of the Swiss Federation, resigns with immediate effect

10.06.2016 Due to serious health problems and imperative advice of his doctor, our President Jvo Bader was forced to resign with immediate effect. For FSPhS and the Central Committee, the resignation comes unexpectedly.

Minutes of the 2016 FEPA Congress

After the Congress, the draft of the Minutes was sent to all FEPA member Federations, Associations or Unions. Once modified with the comments received, these are the whole Minutes.

Muharem Gimjani, new President of the Balkanfila Working Group

Following the tradition of the Balkanfila group, has been elected as new President the Chairman of the Federation which hosted the last exhibition, now Muharem Gimjani, President of the Albanian Federation. Igor Pirc was reelected as Secretary.

Philatelic Seminars for the general public: an excellent experience

The Hellenic Philatelic Federation aiming the spread and promotion of philately, organized a cycle of Philatelic Seminars for the general public along the month of February, March, April and May 2016.

Philately of high level again in France : Paris Philex 2016

170 exhibits, including those of the Federations guests, Spain and Italy, were present at the Exhibitions Park « Port de Versailles » for a new festival of philately.

SUCCESSFUL FEPA EXHIBITION “ROSSICA 2016” WITH PHILATELISTS FROM 18 COUNTRIES

From the 20th to the 22nd May 2016 was held the International Philatelic Biannial Exhibition “ROSSICA 2016” in the Russian House for Science and Culture in Berlin, with FEPA Recognition.

International Seminars on Fakes and Forgeries from Nicos Rangos and Jovan Basho

According to the program of the Balkanfila 2016 FEPA Exhibition in Tirana, Nicos Rangos and Jovan Basho presented very interesting Seminars on Fakes and Forgeries from two different approaches.

The German thematic exhibitor Wolf Hess made History In World Exhibitions

For the first time in history, a thematic exhibit has been Candidate to the Grand Prix National at a World Stamp Exhibition. It happened in the present New York 2016, with the exhibit “Life and fate of the American Natives”.
