During the recent FEPA Congress, Chris King, as representative of the Association of British Philatelic Societies, requested the FEPA Recognition to the Spring STAMPEX 2017. It was granted by the unanimity of the Congress. Spring Stampex 2017 will be devoted to the countries which were part of the former Ottoman Empire.

On top of the fantastic exhibition, LUBRAPEX 2016 included a Social Program with the invitation to all FEPA Delegates to the Congress, Commissioners, Jurors and other guests, to visit the Cellars of Porto Wine with lunch there, dinner and small violin virtuoso concert at the “Pousada de Santa Luzia”, over the Sanctuary, amongst others visits, lunch and diners. FINLANDIA 2017 will be arranged in May 24th – 28th, 2017. The exhibition is the biggest philatelic event in Europe – if not in the whole world – in 2017. The preparations for FINLANDIA 2017 are progressing as planned. There will be 40 FEPA countries participating, together with the invited USA and Australia.

Since nearly 20 years, the Austrian Federation celebrates an “Open Day” and invites a guest country. This year it was Luxemburg – the philatelic postal department and the representatives of the board.

All members of the Bureau of the 11 Commissions are on election at the FIP Congress on the 26th of October in Taipei: Chairmen, Secretaries and ordinary Bureau members.

The Palmares of a very successful 2016 edition of Milanofil had as highlight the presentation of the FEPA Certificate of Appreciation to the Club Filatelico of Lugano (Switzerland), town that hosted our 2014 Congress, and the Circolo Filatelico of Bergamo (Italy). The FEPA Board unanimously agreed in granting the FEPA Recognition to “NORDIA 2017 Exhibition” to be held in The DGI-House/Spektrum in Vejle on 27 – 29 October 2017.

On the 13th and 14th of February, 30 jurors met in Bietigheim-Bissingen for the Jury Seminar directed by Dr. Wolfgang Leupold with the participation of the members of the Board of the German Federation Uwe Decker, Thomas Hoepfner and Alfred Schmidt.

Today has passed away George Sparis, President of the Hellenic Philotelic Society (HPS). He was also President of the Organizing Committee of NOTOS 2015. We are just receiving such sad message from Anthony Virvilis.

Since we established the official "Flag Counter" on the 11th of September 2014, over 200.000 pages have been seen from readers of 145 different countries.

The new Board (Rada) of ZSF is formed by 7 members: 4 delegates from the regions and three members included the President, elected at the Council of ZSF (previously general assembly).

The Commission Chairman, Lars Engelbrecht has kindly sent us the Commission Newsletter nº 14 of January 2016. In his message he says “ We see more and more postal stationery exhibits: 85 postal stationery exhibits have been entered at the international exhibitions in 2015. And the exhibits become better and better”...

The Belgium Federation - FRCPB is celebrating its 125th Anniversary. With this occasion the President Eddy Van Vaeck presented a very special issue of the “Belgaphil” publication, telling the history of the last 25 years of the FRCPB.

The 28th of November 2015 was elected the new Board of the Fédération des Associations Philatéliques de Turquie. Ziya Agaogullari was re-elected President. The whole Board is formed as follows:

SILFI 2015, Danish National Exhibition, showed 90 exhibits and 20 stands comprised dealers, post offices and philatelic organizations. Was presented the FEPA Certificate of Appreciation to the Djurslands Filatelistiske Højskole.

This was a small exhibition, almost certainly due to the success of London 2015 Europhilex. The twice-yearly STAMPEX exhibitions at the Business Design Centre in London

From the 3rd to the 5th of September has been held at the City Hall of Sibiu, the Romanian National Maximaphily Exhibition with international participation, SIBIUMAX 2015.

Notos 2015 has issued its Newsletter number 7, plenty of useful information about the Exhibition and about the situation in Greece.

The FEPA Board has granted the FEPA Recognition to the Exhibition with international participation “GMUNDEN 2016”

The Patronage Contract has been signed in Athens by the FEPA Consultant of the exhibition, Alfred Kunz, representing FEPA and George Sparis, President of the NOTOS 2015 O.C. who is also President of the Hellenic Philotelic Society, and Pantelis Leoussis, President of the Hellenic Philatelic Federation . At the same time has been published the Newsletter number 6.

The National Congress brought together the 620 organizations that make up the French Federation of Philatelic Associations. A new Board was elected

On the Congress of the Norwegian Philatelic Association - Norsk Filatelistforbund, held on Saturday June 6th in Trondheim was elected the new Board.

Taking advantage of the fact that all members of the Board were in London as Organizer, Consultant, Juror or National Commissioners of London 2015 EUROPHILEX, was held a FEPA Board meeting on the 15th of May. The meeting was celebrated at the FEPA Stand, obtained for free and prepared in an excellent way by Birthe King, to promote the FEPA activities.

A new edition of the ECTP was held in Essen from the 7th to the 9th of May. This year was special: was performed with the organizers of London 2015 EUROPHILEX as a joint exhibition.

On April 3 and 4, 2015 the 22th International Postal History and Cover Fair de Brievenbeurs, also for stamps and picture postcards, was held in Gouda, the Netherlands

The Croatian Philatelic Federation (HFS) celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the National Stamp Exhibition with international participation of their partner Federations from Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary in the French Pavilion of Ehemahligen in the fair complex of Zagreb, from the 31st of March to the 4th of April 2015. The exhibition Grand Prix was for José Pedro Gómez-Agüero for its Large Gold Aero exhibit “Aerial post over Spain 1919-1939”.
