Granted the FEPA Recognition to the Spring Stampex 2017
During the recent FEPA Congress, Chris King, as representative of the Association of British Philatelic Societies, requested the FEPA Recognition to the Spring STAMPEX 2017. It was granted by the unanimity of the Congress. Spring Stampex 2017 will be devoted to the countries which were part of the former Ottoman Empire.
Presentation of Awards at the FEPA Congress
During the FEPA Congress celebrated in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, were handed out the awards of Mr. Francis Kiddle in memoriam, Mme Michèle Chauvet, Mr.Calin Marinescu, the Philatelic Society of Sofia „Petko Karaivanoff” and the Briefmarken-Sammler Verein Gotha 1890 e.V.
Eduardo Oliveira e Sousa, Grand Prix in the Championship Class. Everaldo Santos, Grand Prix of “LUBRAPEX 50 Years”.
As many as 58 exhibits received Gold or Large Gold medals, which reflect the extremely high level of the Exhibition. Out of competition also were exhibited six outstanding collections from the DASV, German Association of Postal History. The Palmares marked the end of a fantastic exhibition.
WHAT A SOCIAL PROGRAMME IN LUBRAPEX 2016 !
On top of the fantastic exhibition, LUBRAPEX 2016 included a Social Program with the invitation to all FEPA Delegates to the Congress, Commissioners, Jurors and other guests, to visit the Cellars of Porto Wine with lunch there, dinner and small violin virtuoso concert at the “Pousada de Santa Luzia”, over the Sanctuary, amongst others visits, lunch and diners. BEGAN THE FEPA EXHIBITION LUBRAPEX 50 ANOS
LUBRAPEX 50 ANOS, Portugal-Brazilian Exhibition with Germany (67 exhibits) and Italy (26) as guests Federations began yesterday with 252 Exhibits displayed on 965 frames. To celebrate the 50 year of continuous LUBRAPEX, probably the oldest binational exhibition of the world, it received the FEPA Support.
HIGH LEVEL AT THE FEPA EXHIBITION “EUROSPACE 2016”IN PRAGUE
From the12th to the 17th of April was held the “Eurospace 2016" International Astrophilatelic Exhibition at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Prague with FEPA Recognition and the participation of philatelists from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland.
FINLANDIA 2017 Newsletter #1 – April 2016
FINLANDIA 2017 will be arranged in May 24th – 28th, 2017. The exhibition is the biggest philatelic event in Europe – if not in the whole world – in 2017. The preparations for FINLANDIA 2017 are progressing as planned. There will be 40 FEPA countries participating, together with the invited USA and Australia.

After a collaboration of Nicos Rangos with UPU Management, he has obtained the authorization to publish and link in www.fepanews.com the illegal stamps issued in a number of countries members of the Universal Postal Union. This information is essential for experts, jurors and for many collectors in order to avoid buying and exhibiting such illegal stamps.

Special Regulations for the Evaluation of the new FEPA Class: THE PICTURE POSTCARD
The Special Regulations for the Evaluation of Picture Postcard Exhibits at FEPA Exhibitions were approved by the FEPA Congress in Athens, on 15 November 2015. They are subject to review by the 2018 FEPA Congress. These Regulations apply to all those exhibitions granted FEPA patronage, support or recognition at, or following, the 2015 FEPA Congress.

Francis Kiddle has died this morning
It is my very sad responsibility to have to tell you that Francis Kiddle died this morning. Francis was diagnosed with lung cancer just over two months ago, and he spent three weeks in hospital with pneumonia. He came home just over a week ago. He died surrounded by his family.

A great philatelist has passed away : Teddy Dahinden
On the 12th of September has died in Esslingen, Switzerland, Dr. Theodore (Teddy) Dahinden RDP, at the age of 89 years. Promoter of the Astrophilately Class, he was a great Thematic exhibitor and Juror. President of the Swiss Philatelic Federation for 11 years he was also Director and FIP Vice-president.

The European Academy of Philately, AEP, organized an outstanding meeting during London 2015 EUROPHILEX, in which were presented 17 Displays of the highest interest.
FEPA Board meeting in London: Three new Jurors and two positive Cross-Accreditations
Taking advantage of the fact that all members of the Board were in London as Organizer, Consultant, Juror or National Commissioners of London 2015 EUROPHILEX, was held a FEPA Board meeting on the 15th of May. The meeting was celebrated at the FEPA Stand, obtained for free and prepared in an excellent way by Birthe King, to promote the FEPA activities.

From the 13th to the 16th of May was held London 2015 EUROPHILEX”. This show was an innovation in the international philatelic calendar.

A new edition of the ECTP was held in Essen from the 7th to the 9th of May. This year was special: was performed with the organizers of London 2015 EUROPHILEX as a joint exhibition.

The initial target of 800 frames was easily surpassed, since our friends-exhibitors mainly from the countries of the European South applied for considerably more frames in their entry forms. The Organizing Committee decided to increase the total exhibition space to 3500 m2

On April 3 and 4, 2015 the 22th International Postal History and Cover Fair de Brievenbeurs, also for stamps and picture postcards, was held in Gouda, the Netherlands

CROATICA 2015 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION: THE COMPLETE PALMARES
The Croatian Philatelic Federation (HFS) celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the National Stamp Exhibition with international participation of their partner Federations from Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary in the French Pavilion of Ehemahligen in the fair complex of Zagreb, from the 31st of March to the 4th of April 2015. The exhibition Grand Prix was for José Pedro Gómez-Agüero for its Large Gold Aero exhibit “Aerial post over Spain 1919-1939”.

ÇANAKKALE 2015 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION WITH FEPA RECOGNITION, RECEIVES THOUSANDS OF VISITORS
From the 18th to the 25th of March, collectors from Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, New Zealand, Pakistan and Turkey meet in Çanakkale to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Çanakkale Wars (Gallipoli Campaign) and to promote friendly relations and maintain close cooperation among the philatelists of the countries involved in the Çanakkale Wars.
